Victoria Falls - Zimbabwe & Zambia

In 1855, the world’s biggest waterfall was named after Britain’s Queen Victoria by explorer David Livingstone. The water spray that rises from the massive Victoria Falls and can still be visible 30 kilometers distant is known locally as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” (“thundering smoke”). The Zambezi River’s waters, which roar hundreds of meters into the depths below, have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1989.
