In the 1990s, the Mexican actress and producer rose from being one of Hollywood’s most beautiful actresses to becoming a permanent fixture in the industry. Robert Rodriguez, who recruited her for practically all of his films, boosted her amazing career. The Rodriguez film “Desperado” gave her her big break in 1995. Salma Hayek was nominated for a “Oscar” in 2003 for her performance as Frida Kahlo in the film of the same name, for which she won the Golden Camera in the international film category.
